The Political Science student-athlete’s strong play on the court secured a win for the Ravens against the University of Toronto, sending them to the OUA East Final. She recorded 9 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals.

Matt Stanisz is the Barrhaven Source for Sports Male Raven Athlete of the Week. The Burlington native anchored a strong Carleton defensive line in the series win against the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Stanisz helped lead the team to an emphatic 6-0 shutout in the deciding game, sending the Ravens to the OUA East Final.

Alyson helped the #5 ranked Carleton Ravens women’s basketball team go 3-0 this week with wins over crosstown rivals Ottawa, York and Laurentian. The Ottawa native averaged 18.7 points, 4.3 assists, 4.3 steals on 54% shooting in the 3 wins.

Mitch Porowski is the Barrhaven Source for Sports Male Raven Athlete of the Week. Jessica O’Grady is the Barrhaven Source for Sports Female Raven Athlete of the Week. The Ottawa native had two goals in the women’s hockey team’s 4-3 win over Concordia Saturday. She scored the shootout goal in their 4-3 win over Ottawa on Sunday.

Phil Scrubb is the Barrhaven Source for Sports Male Raven Athlete of the Week. The Commerce student from Richmond British Columbia contributed to the men’s basketball team’s wins over the weekend. He averaged 23.5 points, 5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.

Lindsay Shotbolt is the Barrhaven Source for Sports Female Raven Athlete of the Week. The Journalism student-athlete from Markham Ontario contributed to both of the women’s basketball team’s wins over the weekend. She averaged 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.

Darcy Hawkins from Merrickville Ontario is the Barrhaven Source for Sports Female Athlete of the Week. The Women’s Studies student averaged 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over the weekend. She shot an impressive 7-13 from the field, including 4-6 from the 3 point line and 4-5 from the foul line.
