Women’s Volleyball
The women’s volleyball season runs from September to April. The team competes locally in the Ottawa Carleton Competitive Volleyball League (OCVL) every week. We also travel occasionally to Toronto to compete against other competitive club teams hosted by a Toronto volleyball league. We will also take part in various scrimmages and exhibition matches against club, college and university teams from the surrounding areas.
Team members are expected to be committed to the objectives set forth by the Club. They will be expected to practice 2-3 times weekly and follow the physical training program given to them. They’re also encouraged to participate in club initiatives in order to promote and develop our sport within Carleton University and the surrounding communities. This is a great opportunity for those that are seeking to develop not only volleyball skills, but also leadership and time management skills.
Though the team is geared toward more experienced players, we welcome anyone who’s interested in the program and are willing to develop players that are willing to dedicate the time and energy.

About the coach:
Mark Huang, a Hamilton, Ontario native, has been coaching since the mid 90′s with various club and high school programs. He’s been with the Carleton club program for over six seasons now. With the help of Allan Kwan, the program has produced two OCVL Div B championship teams and one OVA Adult Tier 2 winner. A partially certified NCCP Level 2 coach, Mark believes in developing player potential on and off the court. He feels that winning is a result of realizing these potentials, but not the other way around. Mark can be reached via: wcoach@ravensvolleyball.ca.
