Ravens’ Porowski named CIS rookie of the year

Mitch Porowski (Ottawa) was named CIS rookie of the year in men’s hockey at the All Canadian banquet held in Saskatoon Wednesday night.  He becomes the first major award winner from Carleton University since the Ravens entered OUA hockey in 2007. Ryan Dube is the Barrhaven Source for Sports Male Athlete of the Week

The Sport Management student-athlete from Sault St. Marie gave a solid performance in the OUA East finals against UQTR. In Carleton’s game 1 win, Dube saved 31/32 shots on net. In game 2 and 3, the Raven’s goaltender stopped 24/25 and 61/63 respectively.
