Karim Pringle named Ravens rowing head coach
The Carleton University Ravens rowing program is pleased to announce Karim Pringle as the team’s new head coach.
Pringle is replacing Siobhan McLaughlin, who has accepted a full-time coaching position with the National Development Centre in Welland, Ont.
During her two year coaching stint for the Ravens, McLaughlin worked towards making the varsity team more consistent, with year-round training and a competition schedule.
Pringle was a coach at Trent University for three years, coaching all levels of crews from novice to varsity. He has coached crews that have successfully competed at numerous regattas including the Ontario championships.
Pringle was the first coach in Canada certified under the new Rowing Canada coach certification course and is currently the interim head coach of the Ottawa Rowing Club.
