Ravens earn three medals at Queen’s Quad Meet.

The Carleton University Ravens swimming team had a strong performance in Kingston, Ont. at the Queen’s Quad Meet over the weekend, earning three medals.
The event featured teams from Queen’s University, Trent University and the University of Ottawa.
The Ravens best performance came from Kaitlin Swales (Vernon, Ont.) who captured gold in the 100m Breaststroke with a time of 1:19.42.
On the men’s side, third year Environmental Studies major Graham Ford (Carp, Ont.) won bronze in the 200m Backstroke with a time of 2:22.87.
MacKenzie Kimm (Ballinafad, Ont.) rounded out the medals for the Ravens, earning bronze in the 100m Backstroke with a time of 1:15.12.
The Ravens Karli McKinnon (Fort Frances, Ont.) just missed medaling in the 100m Butterfly. She finished with a time of 1:12.75, while the third place finisher had a time of 1:12.31.
The Ravens used the event to fine-tune their racing strategies as they prepare for the OUA Championships that will be held from February 4-7 at Brock University in St. Catharine’s, Ontario.
