Tisdale, O’Grady shine as Ravens overtake GeeGee’s in shootout

Ravens fans witnessed an exciting battle on Sunday January 20th when cross-town rivals, the University of Ottawa GeeGee’s, invaded the Ice House.
The Ravens fell behind in the first period, but came back with a vengeance as soon as they stepped on the ice for the second period. Ainslee Kent, Sydnie MacDonald, and Sadie Wegner all scored in the second, putting the Ravens up 3-2 going into the third period.
Carolyn Upshall from the University of Ottawa scored a powerplay goal in the third period, sending the game to a scoreless overtime and a 7-round shootout.
Jessica O’Grady scored 3 goals in the shootout, lifting the Ravens to their second win of the weekend.
Tamber Tisdale shined throughout shootout and was key to the Raven victory, stopping many close calls to keep her team in the game.
Tisdale made 37 saves in the victory.
The Ravens are back on the road on January 25th, taking on UdeM at 7pm.
